My parents have a blonde Labradoodle (a mix of Labrador and Poodle), which they got because someone in the house (can’t remember who) is allergic to dogs and they were thinking the hair situation on a Labradoodle would be better. I’m not sure how all that worked out but I DO know that Zuki (short for “Azucar”) is possibly the most good-natured dog I have ever met in my LIFE.
Take the humiliating experience of being dressed in human clothing, for example.
How many dogs do you know who will sit quietly and patiently while multiple humans buzz around them, inserting their paws into too-long shirt-sleeves?
How many dogs do you know who will continue to sit quietly and patiently while said humans cinch the shirt using a fairly complex system of knots and buttons?
And then how many dogs do you know who will willingly, nay cheerfully, prance around the house, on show for everyone, in their glorious new duds?
A few days ago, Dad sent me these images. It turns out Zuki’s fashion parade is not over. This week, Zuki models a classic leather jacket, perfect for the atrocious weather experienced in her hometown up in the Northeast.
Work it, Zuki. Work it.
