Exotic… Games

We took a Sunday drive up into Texas Hill Country this past weekend. It was awesome. There’s something really nice about a fast car and a windy road that just feeds the soul.

IF it’s the kind of soul that can handle that kind of spice. Some souls get carsick.

Thankfully, ours do not. We have hearty souls.

We took back roads all the way home. With only about 50 miles left on what had been a long, lazy, quiet drive, I suddenly grabbed Hubs’ arm and violently demanded that he pull the car over.

Then I snapped this picture:

Which, I don’t know if you can tell, shouldn’t exist.

And yet… hi Tejas.

Of COURSE it exists.

Here’s a closeup:

Nothing like a Sunay afternoon drive through Texas Hill Country. With a whole herd of ZEBRAS.

  1. 25 or 30 years ago there was a field right off the interstate between Statesville and Charlotte where a guy kept llamas. They must have been pretty self-conscious llamas because they got a lot of ogling, I can tell you.

  2. That's the kind of thing that really can make you wonder if you've gone mad, isn't it. Also makes me realize I haven't got the slightest idea if zebras are useful for anything but being looked at by amazed humans.

I had a similar experience once except it wasn't zebras but a camel or two. (No more common in Sweden than zebras in Tejas.)

What do you think?
