100 Things

I should be writing a real entry about our first Christmas in Mexas, and I will, I promise, as soon as I’m done playing games, checking everyone’s post-Christmas status on Facebook, and trolling other blogs. Oh, and eating. I have a hard time remembering to do that sometimes, now that I have no real schedule. Today’s schedule looks like this:

1. Blog (check!)
2. Clean (which should be ammended to “neaten,” since “clean” is a phrase I still use my mother’s definintion for, but very rarely attain)
3. Write (which should be ammended to “read,” since that’s what I’ll end up doing)

Number three makes me sound so professionally artistic, doesn’t it?

I found the “100 Things” list on a blog titled Border Town Notes, which attracted me for obvious reasons. However, karen is in a slightly different situation from me. She’s living on the border of Botswana, working at a safari lodge. {Edit: Karen does NOT work at the safari lodge, which I found out because she stopped by to read and comment! Thanks Karen, and my apologies!} I know. Even my procrastination is interesting.

Anyways, this list is less about me and more about you. Copy it and then highlight all of the things you’ve accomplished. (Send me a link if you post this elsewhere. I want an “I accomplished more” contest.)

After completing this list, I’m going to have to say that a visit to the other half of the world is in order, ASAP.

  1. rae. you’ve kinda done number 43. you’ve bought people’s lunches at wawa all the time! i know because customers still come in and ask how you were doing, and how you’re an awesome person because you bought their lunch one day when you were in line ahead of them!

  2. I was able to highlite 34 items… I clearly have a long way to go. but there are definitly some things on there that i don’t want to accomplish! this was fun!

  3. Hi Rae, thanks so much for stopping by my blog, lovely to meet another border-dweller on the other side of the world, and fascinating to see your list of 100 things, thanks for doing it! (by the way, just have to mention I don't work for the safari lodge altho I can see how i can have given that impression, since we had our christmas dinner there, & didn't go into too many details about our own business!! so, alas, i can't claim the excitement of safari-lodging!)we actually own a computer shop & internet cafe. Being a tourist town, many businesses in town are somehow involved in tourism anyway!I whole heartedly agree about No 97 on the list, let's keep hoping…Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

  4. It’s good to have an active family and a spouse who lives for adventure! I can’t wait to get working on some of the un-highlighted ones. Although I won’t mind if number 97 remains unaccomplished forever.

What do you think?
