Lake, part deux

It wasn’t quite as warm this time around. AND, we learned from our mistakes; this time we were well armed with sunblock. Despite the chilly 73 degrees, we managed to enjoy ourselves.

Hubs was the only one brave enough to endure the cold (COLD) water and get himself to shore, where he tramped around for a good hour before swimming back. While on the island, he was joined by a few vultures, who were very interested in his presence. Whenever we needed to pinpoint him among all the brush, we just looked for the venue of vultures.

Not content with mere exploration, Hubs also managed a rescue mission, saving the lid of the cooler from demise. His coup de grace, however, was unearthing an entire tree from the bowels of the lake. If you look closely, you can see the anchor wrapped around the tree trunk. Well played, mussive man. Well played.
